i don't wanna fall asleep
'cuz i already paid for the show
bought some tickets last week
so i could feel at home
and rest my ragged bones

already in too deep;
dove too quick i know
now the current drags my feet
back out to the snow
for another days puppet show
- at - the -
theater i see
a woman in white
dancing ribbons
upon the stage,
silhouette
under the spotlight
in a most
elegant way
i drift to my feet;
one among the crowd
and tune out with delight..
..but to my dismay
she keeps floating away
so i'll chase that angel all night
Whoa i'm late for class!
seems that i slept in..
...out the door at last, but i
forgot my paper and pens
so why should i even attend?

whatever it takes
to lift your head
cuz it's better to
be tough

be dead

now i'm a workin' man
with lots to show :)
gotta go to the dry sands of
Juarez, Mexico
can't understand why i don't wanna leave the cold

that it felt alright
to finally leave
my palace of ice
but as i return
i hope i have learned
why ghosts can seem
like angels at night
